Exercise with the latest technologies: UAVs and a robot were involved
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of RA held the largest demonstration special tactical exercise on "Organization and implementation of rescue activities in the disaster zone in the event of strong earthquake". All subdivisions of the rescue service were involved. Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan, Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan, Secretary of National Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan, Deputy Chief of Police Kamo Tsutsulyan, Director of the Rescue Service Armen Gasparyan, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lin Tracy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Alexander Konyuk, the representatives of the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, France and Germany in RA and various international structures observed the course of actions.
Before the start of the training at pre-deployed training points and tent camps, the high-ranking guests were introduced to the latest technical and material means, used for extinguishing fires, demining, providing necessary medical assistance to victims, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, etc.
The rescue activities simultaneously unfolded in several areas. UAVs and a robot were involved. 152 rescuers, 26 students of CMSA and 20 equipment were involved in reconnaissance, search and rescue activities using the latest technologies.
