France ready to expand cooperation with Armenia in the field of emergency situations
Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia Andranik Piloyan held official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia Jonathan Lakota, as reported by the Office of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
Minister Piloyan highly appreciated the Armenian-French cooperation in the field of emergency situations and civil defense, noting that the roots of this cooperation have been laid since 1988. After outlining the importance of the issue of public security and the ability to withstand disasters, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and deepen joint work in this direction.
They also discussed the possibilities of implementing (with the assistance of the French side) of joint programs in the fields of retraining Armenian rescuers, disaster medicine and psychological service.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to expand and ensure the continuity of joint programs in the field of civil defense and emergency situations.
