Andranik Piloyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia
Minister Andranik Piloyan received Aleksandr Konyuk, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia to discuss new opportunities of collaboration.
Welcoming the guests the Minister of ES noted that the results of the first meeting at the beginning of the year were positive and it was a good start for new cooperation formats. The Minister said that the acquirement of Belarusian fire vehicle and the rescue equipment was discussed at this stage.
Ambassador Aleksandr Konyuk expressed his readiness to organize the transfer of the necessary information operatively on ensuring the acquisition of the required equipment as soon as possible.
It should be reminded that the cooperation between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Armenia and Belarus Republics had been implemented within the framework of "Cooperation on prevention and elimination in the field of emergency situations" agreement signed in Minsk in 2011 and the regulation for the implementation of the activity of the Armenian-Belarusian interdepartmental commission in the field of emergency prevention and elimination.
Many official mutual visits, technical cooperation, exchange and educational programs, in particular on nuclear and radiation security and confrontation of disasters were implemented within the framework of the collaboration in the past years.
